Tod Demuth has been serving people and their pianos since 1986.

*Graduate of Niles Bryant School of Piano Technology in 1985
*Student of the Randy Potter Course in Piano Technology in 1992
*Studied piano tuning & repair with piano technician Laverne Schultz from 1990 to 1994.

With over 25 years of experience in on-site piano service in Kansas, Missouri and Iowa Tod has a client list of over 400 piano owners and is currently working with the University of Kansas.
In addition, Tod has taught instrumental classroom music and private piano, performed as soloist and with a variety of ensembles for the past 30 years. He is also a published and commissioned composer/arranger of piano music. |

Basic Service Call is $100 plus sales tax. This covers a piano that has been serviced within the last year and there are no mechanical issues. Service will include tuning to A440, minor mechanical adjustments and repairs that time allows.
Minimum Service Call Fee is $75. This is charged for situations such as no-show appointments or cancellations rendered with less than 24 hour notice (see policies) or for situations where a piano is not serviceable.
Pitch Raising Service is an additional $50 plus sales tax - if it has been a while (over two years or more) since the piano has been tuned and serviced, it may require this "repair" to not only get the piano back into tune, but help to stabilize it.
Mileage: $1 per mile round-trip outside Douglas and Johnson County Kansas.
Repairs and Regulation Work are charged at $50/hour plus parts and sales taxes. Most minor repairs and adjustments are usually included in the Basic Service Call.
Assessments (Repair estimates) are $75. This fee is refundable is the work is contracted. If done during the (paid) tuning service, there's no charge.
Written appraisals are $100 for insurance purposes only - not available for tax purposes at this time. Appraisals done during the the basic tuning service are only $50. |
